Coronation street star gets engaged!

Coronation street actor Mikey North announced his engagement to girlfriend Rachael Isherwood. Mikey plays coronation street character Gary Windass and thankfully Mikey is having much more luck in his love life than poor Gary! The actor and his girlfriend announced the happy news in the latest edition of OK! magazine and Gary maintains that the new reduced him to tears.  Mikey shared some details of the proposal with the magazine and he said that he proposed with the ring while the couple were on holiday in the Lake District.  He asked Rachael to shut her eyes and when she opened them he was down on bended knee with the ring. He told the magazine that when she said yes he was so happy and so nervous and he immediately called his mum and cried. The proposal comes two years after the couple first met. Mikey admits that he is quite soppy and that he will be a crying mess on his wedding day.

Mikey admits that he knew Rachael was ‘the one’ shortly after first meeting her and he maintains that she has changed his life  Best of luck to them!!
