Katie Piper is engaged and showing off her ring!

Although Katie Piper and her fiancé Richard James Sutton announced their engagement last month we didn’t actually get to see her ring until now that is. Katie the 31 year old presenter couldn’t wait to show off her engagement ring on instagram and we can’t say we blame her! Lewis Malka designed the ring. Katie went for a double halo ring with a large centre round brilliant cut diamond.  The double halo or two rows of small cut diamonds surrounds the large centre diamond.  The ring band is made from platinum and is a pave split shank and also features small diamonds to give extra bling. It really is a stunning ring and very much ‘in vogue’ at the moment in terms of engagement rings, the halo style has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Katie and Richard have a daughter together who was born in March 2014 and they named Belle Elizabeth.  Richard proposed to Katie in December after cooking a romantic meal for the pair. The couple met through a mutual friend. It is wonderful that Katie has found such happiness after the tough time that she has been through.  When Katie was just 24 when her ex-boyfriend arranged for a man to throw industrial strength sulphuric acid in her face, at the time her modelling career was just taking off.  She has since then had more than 100 operations to rebuild her face and set up the Katie Piper Foundation to raise awareness of the issues facing burns victims.  We wish them both years of happiness she certainly deserves it.
