Niki Minaj was spotted on Saturday in NYC showing off her huge engagement ring. We would expect nothing less than a stand out engagement ring from the singer but it is a real show stopper! The 32 year old was wearing her heart shaped ring which was given to her by her 27 year old hip hop artist boyfriend Meek Mill.The ring is a heart shaped yellow diamond surrounded by a double row of little diamonds. The centre stone is particularly large weighing in at at least 5 carats. The ring is set in a white gold diamond encrusted band with split shoulders. It truely is a unique ring and is fitting for Niki who always stands out from the crowd!! It appears that diamond shaped rings are gaining popularity particularly with the celebs these days with Lady Gaga also sporting the same shaped diamond!!In terms of colour, it does not look intense canary yellow but more L-N in colour. Pricec assuming a GIA certified, 5.0 carat, colour M in a doubel platinum or white gold setting would be approx 30,000 euro plus VAT in bought in Ireland (according to the 2015 ‘Jeweller Of The Year’ Bespoke Diamonds). This was probably much more than this but amount but it could have been of she shopped in Ireland!! Lesson for all the celebs out there – Ireland is more competitive.
Nice ring tho – one would need to be Niki to pull it off – your typical person on Grafton Street in Dublin may not work as well.
